What Is a Remedy for Yeast Infection of the Mouth?

by admin on July 26, 2010

I have been taking a type of steroid for COPD and developed a yeast infection of the mouth. It is very painful and causes everything to burn my mouth therefore not able to eat much of anything. Could someone please help me resolve this problem as soon as possible so I can enjoy the New Years meal anyway. Thanks

Chronic candidiasis can be hard to spot,as its symptoms are the same as those of a number of other health issues. According to research or other evidence, the following self-care steps may help get candidiasis under control:

plain yogurt will help. try to aviod anything thats flavored or sweetened, just plain yogurt. but it can take a while (up to a week). best to see a dr to get an antifungal medicine.

also, keep scraping out as much as you can every chance you get. it will help with the burning (tho it will burn as, and right after, you are doing it)

thrush Your healthcare provider will prescribe an oral antifungal suspension that should be painted on your tongue, roof, and sides of the mouth three or four times a day for a couple of weeks.
but here are some home remedies to deal with this type of fungus

The easiest way to get rid of any infection in mouth is to use mustard oil. take about two teaspoon of mustard oil and rinse the mouth for 10 min and then put it out , rinse your mouth threetimes with cold water , remember inthe whole process it would give u burning sensation but once done it gives instant result so tolerate do this abou twice daily

You’ll have to get a prescription for an oral anti-fungal medicine. I don’t think there’s anything you can buy over the counter for thrush.

You have thrush, go see your doctor. He will give you a swish and swallow or spit medication that will take care of it in a few days.
